The past 15th. May we had an activity on reading encouragement for students of 3rd. and 4th. Primary Education at the Assembly Hall. The writer Ricardo Alcántara visited our students who had an enjoyable and educational experience with his book “House of fears” published by Edelvives publishing house.
Students could participate in several activities and games, proposed by the author, and later they asked some questions on the book and his career as a writer.
At the end of the event, the autor kindly signed with pleasure all the students´ books who went up on the stage. Happy and funny students´ faces were clearly seen, so they enjoyed and spent an special and entertaining day.

Due to the Book Day at 2nd Primary Education we have perfomed some special activities.
Classes have become in four workshops in which students have been going through all day. The following workshops have been carried out:
- Reading theatre workshop: in which children have performed the story of The Steadfast Tin Soldier.
- Crafts workshop: in which they have done a cardboard flower regarding the Book Day.
- Poetry workshop: children have been looking for rhymes and have written a poem with rhyming couplets.
- Story workshop: they have participated, in groups, in the game of “the vowel dropping witch” looking for the titles of the stories which were previously vowel dropped by the witch and they mimed.
Late in the afternoon, students have coloured a picture on the Book Day and they have read stories. It has been a different day and children have enjoyed and participated with fun, working in a different way.

On 16th. April a reading encourament activity was held at the Assembly Room for students from 1st. and 2nd. Primary Education of the school Saint Joachima de Vedruna. Children received the pleasant visit of a storyteller who astonished at his stories, tales and performances with puppets of humor.
The faces of hapinness were visible and students enjoyed for a really special and happy moment.

Over the past 29th. February students from 4th. Primary Education of Santa Joaquina de Vedruna school received the pleasant visit of an employee from “Aquagest” at the assembly hall. Mentioned worker spoke on the importance of water in our planet and the responsible comsuption we should do with it. The activity was entitled “GotaGotham” and a booklet was completed with some questions. Later some games and activities were performed at the schoolyard and students spent a very good time.
