Manifesto for the the school day of peace and non-violence

Today we celebrate the School Day of Peace and non-violence, coinciding with the anniversary of Gandhi's death, a good man that excelled for his serch for Peace.
Jesus wishes us the peace that comes from the heart and love as brothers.  He sends us his Spirit  that encourages and helps us to find it.

We, the School Community of Santa Joaquina de Vedruna of Cartagena, members of the Catholic Church and citizens of the world, manifest that:

• We reject any form of violence that attacks on human dignity.
• We reject any form of discrimination on the grounds of religion, nationality, ideology, race, social condition, man or woman.
• We reject any method to solve human problems which is not based on dialogue, understanding and respect.
• We desire an understanding of hearts and minds for all men and people.
• We desire there are not people more important than others and that we are all equal.
• We want the wars to end and the violence.

AFRICA

We desire peace for all nations and peoples of AFRICA, suffering from extreme poverty, famine and grief.

ASIA

We desire peace for ASIA, which is in deep war, violence and exploitation.

EUROPE

We Desire peace for EUROPE, concerned about economic problems and forgotten about oppressed peoples.

AMERICA

We Desire peace for AMERICA, which is in deep exclusion, violence and exploitation.

OCEANIA

We Desire peace for OCEANIA, forgotten by the world and pained by poverty and misery.
