Dear parents,

We are aware of the hard economic times which are specially affecting many families, weighed down with worry because of unemployment, and they are joining in those who were already asking for help, due to different reasons, to overcome their abandonment.

We know that parish Caritas and many associations helping people in need, are these days unable to give, not only our daily bread, but also the possibility of alleviating the family table, so important in our culture and so necessary to each and every family.

For that reason, our school is organising the usual food collection campaign, called CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN. This is a sign of solidarity with those in need from our city, Cartagena. This food is assigned for its distribution among families in need from the parish church of Carmen, San Fulgencio, San Diego, San Pedro Pescador of Lo Campano and the Hospitality of St. Theresa. Kindly remember that it should be non-perishable food, such as oil, canned fish and fruit, cereals; the well-known legumes, pasta, cookies, rice.... and some Christmas sweets as usual. The campaign will be the week from December 12^th. to 16^th. 2011.

On these dates that we are preparing to celebrate the coming of the Lord into our lives, we need signs that illuminate the birth of a new world promoting justice and peace among men.
